My Kitchen
The kitchen cabinets were oak stained. I do not like that look so I painted them and then distressed the edges by sanding down to the wood tone. |
My husband put up the open shelves for me. I did not want to put my dishes behind closed doors. I like looking at them! |
My son gave me the Blue Willow tea set for Mother's day a few years back. I think that is when I decided I love blue dishes! |
This teapot is called Memory Lane from Royal Albert. It is a beautiful teapot with dainty blue forget-me-nots flowers painted on it. |

Cabinet make over
I do not have a picture of my buffet before I painted it. I found this picture on the internet. This piece has the same drawer pulls and stain color that mine originally had. |
I painted the cabinet in a sage green then using burnt umber paint I created a distressed look for the buffet. I also changed the drawer pulls. |

Watercolor Painting
This artwork is from a watercolor class I took last summer. I have always painted with acrylics in the past, so I found the watercolor a little more difficult to get used to. I do like using watercolor especially the ability to simply use clean water and a brush to erase areas you don't want.

Latest Find!
I found this shelf at a small thrift shop. I love the decorative detail. It will be perfect for displaying some of my teacups.
